The jealousy of a group of men, and a letter that compromised the father of a magistrate causes the imprisonment of this sailor by the magistrate who close in the sailor into a remote prison where is impossible to escape.

During the 14 years of prison, in a isolated and remote cell, the sailor comes across a wise and generous abbot who helps him to finding out the reason of him unfair and undeserved imprisonment and gives him an astounding treasure located in the Island of Monte Cristo, in Italy.
